Friday December 3, 2021 was the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This is a day to broaden one’s understanding of the obstacles people with disabilities can face and to be more understanding about the challenges. There is no room for discrimination or exclusion in our society, everyone should be able to have equal opportunity, and this includes having fun!
MetaCorp and The Movies at Gloria didn’t want this day to go by without doing something fun and special for this community. They decided to invite this group to a free movie!
The different groups that were present during the event were Stichting Verstandelijk Gehandicapten Aruba, Trampolin and Ambiente Nobo, who had a great time together with their leaders at The Movies. With their 3D glasses on, loaded with popcorn and refreshments they experienced and enjoyed the film Under the Sea in our IMAX theater. We were so excited to be a part of them learning more about life “Under the Sea”!
