STUART
HOFFMAN

Chairman

Stuart has a legal track record as Partner at Holland & Knight and Hunton & Williams, as well as President/COO of The Peebles Corporation. He was President of his law firm based in Miami offering transactional and real estate legal services, until he retired in 2020.

GERARDO
DE VEER

Member

Gerardo joined MetaCorp in 1974. During his career, he held several positions throughout the company: He was Managing Director of E. de Chain Theaters as well as Chief Operating Officer alongside his brother Eduardo. He retired and joined the MetaCorp board as Member in 2013.

SHALOM
SAAR

Member

Shalom is the founder of the Center for Leadership Development. He has taught at Harvard University and was a professor in Leadership and Management at MIT. He is the former Associate Dean for Executive Education and Professor of Leadership Practice at the University of Miami Business School.

JEAN M.
DE CUBA

Member

Jean M. de Cuba is a graduate of the University of Leiden, Netherlands and has practiced law since then in the Netherlands, Curacao and in Aruba, primarily in civil, commercial, corporate and insolvency matters. He has acted as the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Aruban Civil Servants’ Pension Fund, as member of various advisory commissions that advise on the introduction and revision of legislation and as board member and chairman of Aruba Trade and Industry Association. 

EDUARDO
DE VEER

Member

Eduardo took over the reins in 1964 and was CEO of MetaCorp for nearly 50 years. He was awarded the royal decoration of Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau in 1998 and promotion to Officer in 2018, the royal decoration of Knight of the Order of Dannebrog (Denmark) in 1998, and the Maduro & Curiel’s Bank Prize for Innovation in 2007.

NATARAJAN

Member

Hari is both a professor and the Vice Dean of Business Programs at the University of Miami. He has an extensive track record in publications and awards, and specializes in operations and supply chain management.

BERT
VAN DEN BERGH

Member

Bert worked for Eli Lilly and Company for nearly 30 years in Belgium, The Netherlands, Indonesia, Venezuela, USA, Germany and the UK. His roles included President of Neuroscience Products, President of European Operations and General Manager for the United Kingdom and Germany. Bert is currently building a new Health Care business for Revalesio Corporation in Tacoma (WA) around potential break-through technology in physics and human biology.

HERBERT
VAN DER WOUDE

Member

Herbert studied Business Economics at Rotterdam Erasmus University and returned to his homeland Curacao in 1996 after holding several management positions in Europe. There he became CFO followed by CEO of the Curacao based Dutch Caribbean hardware/home improvement retailer Kooyman before he retired in 2020. He currently holds several local and regional supervisory board positions, among others with the MCB Bank, Fun Miles and the Curacao Monuments Care Foundation.

EDUARD L. J.

DE VEER

Chief Executive Officer

Eddie has established an impressive track record within MetaCorp. As Managing Director of Tropical Bottling and BNB he was responsible for a.o. the merge of the two production lines. In 2009 he joined the MetaCorp management starting as CEO for the Curaçao operations. Eddie held the CEO position from 2015 - 2020 for MetaCorp Aruba N.V., from 2020 - 2021 he held the position of CDO of MetaCorp Aruba N.V. Since 2022 Eddie became the CEO for Metacorp International.

SHENSLY
TROMP

Chief Operating Officer

Shensly started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he then served in several managerial roles at the Central Bank of Aruba, and later as a director at the Aruba Airport Authority. He joined MetaCorp as a Business Improvement Officer and in 2023 appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Shensly is a graduate of the University of Utrecht.

SLABBEKOORN

Chief Financial Officer

Guus is a Dutch Chartered Accountant (RA) and started his career in audit management at well-known companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young. He joined MetaCorp in 2007 as Corporate Controller and is Chief Financial Officer since 2015.

STANLEY

Tropical Bottling Company/BNB

Warren can look back on a 17-year long career in the tourism industry in Aruba. He spent 12 years as CEO at De Palm Tours Aruba. In 2020, he joined MetaCorp as Managing Director of Tropical Bottling Company and Brouwerij Nacional Balashi.

PARIMAL

TRIVEDI

New York Laundry

Parimal is a proven expert in the hotel industry and joined MetaCorp in 2000 as Resident Manager and then Director of Operations at MetaCorp’s hotel venture, Sonesta (later Renaissance Aruba). He is an established expert in customer centric strategies.

RICHARD

DE VEER

APEX

Richard is a graduate mechanical engineer with a knack for structural design, planning, integration and construction. He joined APEX (formerly known as ATCO Concrete) in 2007 as Assistant Maintenance and Production Manager, and later Operations Manager, to become Managing Director in 2018.

CARRASQUERO

ATCO/Ecotech Aruba /Ecotech Free Zone

As a graduate engineer Robert possesses a strong track record improving organizational challenges and business-enhancing abilities. He joined MetaCorp as Managing Director for various of our subsidiaries, and was part of the Executive Board from 2015 - 2021.

MARCELINO R.J DE LANNOY

Chief Executive Officer

Marcelino joined as the CEO of MetaCorp Curacao BV. in September 2022. He brings with him more than 30 years of experience in management, both in Curacao and Bonaire. Marcelino has predominantly focused on working as a Certified Quality Manager, assigned in various CEO positions, such as at the Curacao Port Authority NV. 

LIA
TADEMA

Chief Financial Officer

Lia joined as CFO for MetaCorp Curacao in October, 2021. She has worked for Deloitte in the Netherlands and Curacao for 14 years. Lia started her career as an auditor, and after several years she made the switch to Financial Advisory. Lia is a Dutch Chartered Accountant (RA) and IFRS examiner for the University of Tilburg.
